Requirement: USMS Membership is required to participate in this program.

ZOOM Learn-to-Lap Swim (LTLS) is a group lesson covering skills needed to swim laps independently or with a club. The course is designed as a bridge between ALTS and swimming with ZOOM, but is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is able to swim with their face in the water, float unassisted in deep water, and has a basic understanding of front crawl. Skills covered in LTLS include stroke development for front crawl, proper breathing techniques, efficient arm rotation, and better body alignment. Instructor/Coaches will go over best practices for group swimming, lane etiquette, swim jargon, and how to follow a written workout.
Introduction to breaststroke and backstroke will also be covered as time and interest permits.
If you are able to swim the length of a pool and are interested in stroke development, you may be more suited to participate in swim clinics periodically offered by ZOOM or try a Kalamazoo Masters by attending a practice.

8 one-hour classes on Tuesday/Thursday
