Description of ZOOM Adult-Learn-to-Swim
This beginner-level adult swim lessons is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is not yet able to swim with their face in the water or float unassisted in deep water. The ALTS course includes 10 lessons across 10 classes and will be capped at 12 participants with an instructor:participant ratio of 1:3.
If you are able to swim the length of a pool and are interested in stroke development, you may be more suited to participate in ZOOM Learn-to-Lap Swim or try a Kalamazoo Masters by attending a practice.
Cost
$70 per person
Need-based scholarships are supported by USA Swimming - Use ZOOM-ALTS-50 for a 50% off discount.
Includes: 10 classes, goggles, and swim cap

Kalamazoo College Natatorium 1022 Academy Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49006 on the corner of Academy and Catherine Streets
Class Schedule
10 one-hour classes – this class is offered over two weeks, four days/week
Week 1:
1 Breathing & Bobs
2 Float & Glide
3 Kicking
4 Freestyle
5 Freestyle with Breathing
Week 2:
6 Deep Water
7 Treading Water
8 Sidestroke
9 Pool Exit
10 Stroke Development
Kalamazoo Masters Swim Club (ZOOM) was chosen as one of 38 adult programs in 24 states, from the USA Swimming Foundation’s nationwide network of swim lesson providers to receive grant money in 2024.
